Four core event areas through which INGED fulfils its mission to develop and support English language education in Turkey.
INGED's flagship event, held every two years, is one of Turkey's most prominent ELT conferences. It brings together classroom teachers, teacher educators, researchers, and education professionals for three days of plenaries, workshops, paper presentations, and professional networking.
The 23rd INGED International ELT Conference is scheduled for November 6–8, 2026 at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. Abstract submissions open ahead of the August 1, 2026 deadline.
Members receive a discounted conference registration rate.
ELTER — English Language Teacher Education Research — is INGED's practitioner research group. ELTER brings together classroom teachers and teacher educators who wish to conduct structured, collaborative research into their own professional practice.
Research cycles run annually. Participating members work through a structured five-stage cycle. ELTER is an invitation-based group for academically oriented educators.
INGED's English Drama Festivals are annual competitions for primary school students (ages 7–14). Schools prepare and perform short plays in English, with students taking on all roles: acting, directing, set design, and costume.
The festival promotes communicative use of English, confidence, and creativity among young learners. The 2026 festival is held in Ankara. Registration for schools opens early each calendar year.
